Job Description:
Community Registered Nurse who will safely administer vaccine to homebound patients. The Nurse will be assigned a daily patient caseload. The RN along with a teammate will be go to each recipient’s home to administer the vaccine.
Required Hours:
Monday-Friday (Wednesdays off)
Some Weekends (Special Events)
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years experience of community nursing or licensed clinical care administering vaccines is required.
- Good Standing Registered Nursing Licensure
- Community Nursing Practice knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience in Home Care Practice (Preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently
- Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments
- Knowledge of clinical skills including administering vaccine
- Strong decision-making skills
- Data Entry (Spreadsheets)
- Obtain informed consent forms
- Maintain and deliver quality service
- Administer vaccine
- Dispose of bio-hazardous waste
- Complete documentation
- Other duties as assigned
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge and understanding of the dosage, administration, indications, precautions, contraindications, and possible adverse reactions related to the vaccine being administered
- Knowledge of how to draw vaccine from vial and mix
- Job Type: 1099
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN (Preferred)
- Active license in the state of assignment
